Because black women are so hot right now...

That's right! Another victory for black women (well, sort of). Award-winning actor Sean Penn has officially gone to the dark (complected) side. The actor, who recently divorced Robin Wright Penn (a not-so-award-winning actress, but a decent actress nonetheless) has been seen stepping out with African-American Sports Illustrated model, Ashley "My last name is ironic" White.

The 49-year-old Oscar winner and 25-year-old model have been spotted stepping out in NYC. And if you're weirded out by the age difference, it should help you to know they are both reaching the age of retirement in their respective fields.

We all suspected Penn had a penchant for the "sistas" when he was seen hanging around rapper Eve a few years back. We ignored it though because 1) He was still married and 2) No one wants to have Eve in their thoughts for too long...it's gross. I for one salute you, Mr. Penn. You are now part of a distinguished group of white boys who can't get enough of the brown sugar. Daivd Bowie, Robert DeNiro, Barack Ob- oh, wait... but you get my point.

Because my rage cannot be limited to 150 characters...

... yes, I'm talking about Twitter. I'll begin by saying, I don't not hate twitter. I just find it a bit superfluous. As a writer, I am naturally long winded and yet with twitter, I am supposed to express my emotions in a short sentence or even worse, sentence fragments! I didn't take 8 years of English classes to write a fucking fragment, I can tell you that.

Also, I'm confused with how I should follow people. A lot of twitterers use the network for news and links. That seems fare enough. But then, you can also communicate with a person by commented on something they tweeted. So I spend half my time reading responses that are @ someone else. I don't know what it's regarding. I'm only getting one side of the story.

Then there are those who over-tweet. Every five seconds, something new or miraculous has happened. How is that possible?

I wanted to twitter about this, but obviously it wouldn't fit.

Because myspace sucks...

The hetero lifemate and I tried this once before on myspace. It didn't work. And sure, we didn't really promote it, but let's not split hairs. Myspace is lame and a thing of the past.

So here is a very simple blog for Asia and I to express our many, many grievances. Many.

Enjoy.
